Do we need a new Enlightenment? Towards a synthesis between woke ideology and Enlightenment values.

With thanks to Lloyd Hawkeye Robertson for sharing this video with Humanistically Speaking. Lloyd is President of the New Enlightenment Project – a Canadian Humanist initiative.

“Woke ideology” is a topic which Humanistically Speaking has not shied away from over the years. For many humanists, there’s no contradiction between wokeism and humanism, whereas for other humanists, wokeism represents the antithesis of humanist values. Is there a middle way?

In this video, Robert Hamilton, Vice President of the New Enlightenment Project, proposes a new synthesis followed by some questions from Scott Jacobsen who is the New Enlightenment Project director of advocacy.
